How to use Mepiform®
Self-adherent silicone dressing


1.   Wash both hands and scar tissue with mild soap and water. Rinse and pat dry.

2.   Open the peel pack and remove the dressing.
3.   If necessary, cut to the appropriate size, allowing an overlap of no less than 1/2 inch beyond the scar border.

4.   When applying Mepiform, make sure the area is dry. When used together with lotion or cream, ensure the dressing covers an area beyond the cream or lotion border.
5.   Remove the release film and apply the dressing over the scar or closed wound. Avoid stretching the dressing.


Further Indications
  		• Mepiform should optimally be worn for 24 hours a day, although inspection and washing of the skin are recommended once a day.
  		• The dressing is waterproof, therefore, it may be worn during bathing or showering.
  		• When the dressing begins to lose its adherent qualities, it should be changed. The wear time will vary from individual to individual and ranges from 3 to 7 days or longer.

    If needed, cut to shape. Ensure scar and surrounding skin is dry. Reapply after daily cleaning of the scar. Discard when no longer adherent and reapply a new Mepiform.
