Mepitel non-adherent silicone dressing is a fine mesh netting, coated with medical grade silicone gel. Like many products from Molnlycke Health Care, it features Safetac® Technology, a revolutionary hydrophobic silicone coating technology which allows the dressing to be applied, removed, and reapplied with minimal discomfort for the patient, no disturbance of wound site, and no disruption of the healing process.

Unlike many conventional wound dressings, Mepitel will not stick to moist tissue, such as a wound bed, but adheres firmly to intact skin. That makes it perfect for the fixation of skin grafts, managing second degree burns and wounds in the granulation phase. In addition, Mepitel can be left in place over the wound bed, undisturbed for several days, while the outer dressing may be changed as needed.
