How Mepilex Transfer works

Mepilex Transfer is thin and conformable which, in combination with the soft silicone Safetac® layer, ensures direct contact to the wound base and surrounding skin. As the Safetac layer seals around the wound margins, the foam structure of Mepilex Transfer allows the exudate to move vertically into a secondary absorbent pad, thus protecting the surrounding skin from excess moisture.


Mepilex Transfer also helps maintain a moist wound
environment, in combination with an appropriate
secondary dressing.

Areas of use

Mepilex Transfer is designed for a wide range of exuding and difficult-to-dress wounds. It can be used in combination with an additional absorbent dressing.

Mepilex Transfer can also be used as a protective layer on minimal or low exuding wounds. The large sizes enable coverage of large, awkward areas and is ideal for areas with fragile skin.

Mepilex Transfer can be used under compression.
